Lincoln College of Technology, a division of New Jersey-based Lincoln Educational Services, signed a 25,000-square-foot, long term lease for its new Ohio campus at 1701 E. 12th Street, a 20-story mixed-use building in Downtown Cleveland.
With 43 campuses in 17 states across the country, Lincoln specializes in training students with practical hands-on techniques to pursue careers in the automotive, health sciences, business and information technology, skilled trades, spa and cosmetology and culinary arts industries.
Northern New Jersey-based Studley Corporate Managing Director James Schroeder, who represents Lincoln nationally for their real estate requirements, also represented Lincoln in this transaction. Lincoln will occupy a portion of the first floor of the mixed-use property as classrooms and administrative offices. The building is located in the Downtown market and offers convenient access to its student body, which lives and works in close proximity. And for those students that use mass transit, the building is just blocks from Public Square Station.
"This transaction emanated from the internal growth of Lincoln Educational Services. "Of all the sites we earmarked for their new campus, in Ohio, East 12th Street offered the most economic and geographic advantages for the school's student base," said Mr. Schroeder who added that this campus will be Lincoln's seventh in Ohio. The School intends to occupy its new campus by the end of the year.
"We are very pleased to be opening our seventh Ohio Campus and having the opportunity to employ and provide education to many state residents and preparing our prospective students for a better future," said Scott Shaw, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
Colliers represented the landlord, Reserve Apartments Ltd., in the transaction.
