Michael Drew joined Savills in April 2015 as a tenant representative throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. During his time as a commercial real estate professional, Mike has largely represented clients in the technology, gaming and industrial spaces as he’s surrounded by the explosion of innovation in the San Jose, Palo Alto and San Francisco regions. As a technology company real estate advisor, Mike has worked with companies in gaming and software. Additionally, he has worked with companies in need of research and development facilities, as well as large warehouses for storage and shipments.
Mike brings a broad range of skills to each of his clients’ disposals including in depth market research, knowledgeable city site selection, workplace strategy, financial analysis and forecasting, lease negotiation and transaction management. His skill set allows him to advise companies for multiple transaction types including new leases, subleases, acquisitions, dispositions, purchases, sales, relocations, expansions and more. Some of the emerging technology companies he has represented include NetApp, Softbank, Discord, Druva and Groupware Technology.
Mike began his career as a commercial real estate tech advisor at Cresa for 4 years in the Bay Area. Prior to that, Mike was a director of admissions and placement for LVN, EMT and paramedics at WestMed College.
Awards, Achievements and Activities
In 2014, Michael was recognized for negotiating the ‘Lease of the Year for the Peninsula (PA–SF) for the 380,466 square-foot transaction with Machine Zone at 1050 Page Mill Road, Palo Alto.
