Tyler Bensten has spent his entire career advocating for commercial tenants. He has represented some of the city’s largest and most prominent law firms in complex real estate transactions, including most notably, Williams & Connolly’s 300,000-square- foot Washington, D.C. headquarters relocation in 2018.
Since joining Savills in 2008, Tyler has built a foundation of law firm clients through his tenant advisory services. As corporate managing director, he is responsible for the oversight of financial strategy, market research, lease analysis and the execution of large-scale leases throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He is experienced in advising companies of any size and transactions of any degree of complexity, as well as counseling nonprofits, corporations and educational entities.
Tyler’s first position at the firm was as a valuation analyst for the firm’s national accounts. His financial acumen and unique ability to interact with clients naturally positioned him to transition into brokerage within one year. Since then, Tyler has consistently been promoted within the firm and has completed over $100 million in volume which represents over 3 million square feet of leasing transactions.
