CHALLENGE

With an aggressive plan for growth, Kroll (previously Duff & Phelps) has grown into one of the world’s leading global valuation and corporate financial advisory firms. As they transitioned into a global platform, they relied on Macro, now operating as Savills Program & Project Management, as a trusted advisor to support its real estate and project management needs. These assignments included national and international construction management, the development of standardized delivery practices, and the creation of a globally aligned workplace strategy platform.

SOLUTION

Since 2011, we have partnered closely with Kroll to manage national and international construction projects, embedding within Kroll’s teams to establish consistent standards and a scalable global workplace strategy.

Following months of work building project management templates and standards, as well as the creation of workplace policies and procedures, the team collaborated with Kroll to develop a comprehensive master plan for national and international locations, with leasing optimization and space efficiency as primary drivers. Additionally, we analyzed the existing real estate footprint, reviewing agreements and developing a centralized real estate database to enable Kroll to assess, manage, and track its global assets. Powered with this information, we worked with the real estate team to create comparative space-utilization metrics and a streamlined budget assessment framework to support informed decision-making.

RESULT

These metrics enabled Kroll to advance its long-term strategic planning initiatives. Returning to Savills, Kroll engaged the team to lead the development of standardized space typologies, including finishes, technology, infrastructure, and furniture across its portfolio. Our team also worked on alternative occupancy strategies for select locations to address unique operational and market-driven considerations. We established repeatable documentation standards and template toolkits to support consistency and efficiency across future projects.
