Emmett H. Miller III joined Savills in April 2007 and currently advises federal government agencies with all aspects of real property procurement including leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions. Based out of the firm’s office in Washington, DC, Mett represents leading governmental agencies such as the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of State and Department of Veterans Affairs. In order to efficiently advise his clients, Mett utilizes his more than two decades of experience to develop and implement procurement strategies for headquarters and complex lease procurements including source selection procurements and lease construction projects.
Before Savills, Mett served as a partner with the real estate and government contracts group of the law firm Kilpatrick Townsend (formerly Kilpatrick Stockton). His 13 years of experience there had him concentrating on federal government acquisitions of real property and related claims on behalf of both private and public sector clients. Prior to starting his career at Kilpatrick Stockton in 1994, Mett served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel F. Dubina of the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mett is also a current member of the District of Columbia and Georgia Bars.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mett has been recognized for his premier work in commercial real estate. In 2013, the Washington Business Journal recognized him for making the ‘Deal of the Year’ for his work on the National Science Foundation’s headquarters lease.
