Frank Yeboah-Kodie

 

Professional Expertise 

Frank Yeboah-Kodie is a Senior Project Manager who works on some of GSA’s largest projects. He has managed projects totaling 8 million square feet valued at more than $1 billion over the course of 20 years in the field of federal and private sector real estate project management. Frank’s expertise is in managing large, complex projects from leasing through tenant move-in, including building structure buildout from ground up, building alterations, conference room centers, Biosafety Level-2 (BSL-2) biomedical labs, computer rooms and IT facilities. He managed multidisciplinary teams responsible for strategic planning, construction management and execution, including project budgeting, scheduling and negotiations.

Frank worked at the GSA for over 15 years, where some of his noteworthy projects included a $120 million renovation of two buildings at DEA headquarters in Arlington, Va., totaling 600,000 sf, with the tenants in place; a $200 million buildout from the ground up of the 750,000-sf NSF headquarters in Alexandria, Va.; and a $110 million renovation of NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C., of a 600,000-sf space with tenants in place. He has managed the buildout of major federal campuses including the FBI/NVRA compound in Manassas, Va., from lease award to land purchase, to design and construction, on an accelerated 17-month schedule and a build-to-suit training center campus for the National Transportation Safety Board in Ashburn, Va., which included classrooms and auditoriums, BSL-2 labs, an airplane hangar and open training field from concept through move-in.

Before working for the GSA, Frank began his career as a project engineer for the Driggs Corporation in Capital Heights, Md., working on projects as varied as Washington’s Capital One Arena and the AOL campus in Loudon, Va.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Frank supports the Gospel Avenue School in Kumasi, Ghana, by collecting clothing, sports equipment and computers to send the school on a semi-annual basis. He played football at Penn State, Class of 1993, and played professionally with the Canadian Football League Champion Calgary Stampeders.
