John joined Studley (now Savills) in 1985 and was co-head of the firm's Chicago office since 1989, helping to build the Chicago team into one of the top tenant representation practices in the Midwest. As a former member of Savills USA's board of directors and its seven-person executive committee, John plays a key role in providing leadership and strategic vision within the company.
Considered an expert on the downtown Chicago office market, John has managed more than 15 million square feet of transactions valued at more than $3 billion. His 34 years of executing real estate transactions in Chicago makes him one of the most respected tenant representatives in the area with a reputation for unqualified integrity and insight. Through unparalleled advocacy and creativity, John has turned real estate into a strategic advantage for a multitude of clients including CVS/Caremark, the American Bar Association and Siemens Corporation.
Awards, Achievements and Activities
John is active in and is a past board member of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association (COLBA) and was honored in 2002, 2007 and again in 2011 with the prestigious Greater Chicago Food Depository Commercial Real Estate Award for “Office Broker of the Year.” He is also a board member of both the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith and SGA Youth and Family Services.
