Rich has been involved extensively in charitable and civic activities. He is a longtime supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes, Corporate Chairman 2000 and 2001; JDRF 2018 and 2019 Chicago Real Estate Games, Chairman; Research Chair, 2002-2004; Board Member and Executive Committee Member). He sits on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and a Board Member of the City of Lake Forest, Illinois’ Zoning Board of Appeals. He is a multi-year finalist and 2016 winner of the NAIOP Office Transaction of the Year and has been named a finalist in multiple years for the Greater Chicago Food Depository Real Estate Awards Transaction of the Year Award.
