Savills Manufacturing Report

The past three years marked a paradigm shift for manufacturing in the United States, propelled by an injection of public incentives which supported $628 billion in private capital investments. Two-thirds of recently announced manufacturing jobs were tied to advanced industries including EV batteries, chips and clean energy. These gains are heavily concentrated in Sun Belt and Midwest states with advantages in access, infrastructure, labor and land availability. While signs point to slowing activity in 2024, the need for supply chain resiliency will support the reshoring trend for years to come.
