- Furniture and Relocation Management
CHALLENGE
Macro, now operating as Savills Program & Project Management, provided comprehensive furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) advisory and delivery services for this 700,000+ square foot project, comprised of eight of WPP’s operating companies that relocated and moved into the same space at 3 World Trade Center.
Each of GroupM’s subsidiaries maintained distinct branding, operational requirements, and workplace standards, requiring a coordinated approach to furniture selection and standards alignment. Savills responsibilities included tracking the individual needs, changes, adds and moves for each user group and reporting directly to the WPP corporate entity to ensure that workplace standards were maintained.
SOLUTION
Our team led and integrated the FF&E process across the team of architects, furniture vendors, construction manager, and GroupM leadership, to ensure alignment and consistency from the point of the decisions, to procurement, delivery, and installation.
Acting as a single point of accountability, we advocated and negotiated on the client’s behalf when furniture did not meet expectations or deliveries fell short of expectations. We implemented disciplined cost-control and governance measures to ensure transparency and accountability across all GroupM stakeholders.
During delivery and installation, our team worked around the clock in close coordination with the Port Authority and building security teams to ensure furniture was delivered on time, per GroupM’s deeds and requirements.
We also served as the central coordination point for workplace technology integration between the furniture vendors, architect, and the audio-visual consultant.
