Jarod Stern is an Executive Managing Director in the Savills New York office. Prior to joining Savills (then Studley) in 2006, Jarod was a restructuring attorney. Accordingly, Jarod brings a unique transaction experience to his 20+ year commercial real estate career. Jarod strives to be at the forefront of tenant advisory in New York City, having structured several million square feet of lease transactions.

Jarod has an exceptional track record advising high-profile clients across sectors, including MoloLamken, a nationally recognized litigation boutique; The Institute of Culinary Education, the nation’s leading culinary school; global law firm Freshfields; Tom Ford; Playbill; IGI; ExpandEd Schools; Thompson Coburn; the New York Liquidation Bureau; Land ’n’ Sea; Suvretta Capital Management; and several prominent nonprofits, charter schools, clubs and associations.

Jarod also advises start-up, tech and Ai companies with their real estate needs relative to their scaling initiatives.

Beyond his real estate practice, Jarod holds several senior leadership positions, including serving on the Savills New York Advisory Board, the Nex-Gen Board and as a lead for the firm’s Junior Broker Development Program. Jarod also moderates the New York Market Meetings.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Jarod was awarded the Edward S. Gordon Memorial Award for the Most Ingenious Office Leasing Deal of 2021, titled “A Gem of a Formula – Keeping an Industry in Place at 608 Fifth Avenue,” in which he devised a novel rent formula not yet realized in New York City.

He is also active in the community and devotes time serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Mental Health News Education (MHNE).
