Mark is the Southwest Region Lead and Vice Chairman, responsible for commercial real estate activity throughout Texas and its surrounding states. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for Savills. As a tenured leader, Mark represents many of the region’s largest tenants, with a focus on energy, engineering, financial services, and law firms. Mark has vast experience with build-to- suits, traditional leases, ownership, non-traditional leases, dispositions and restructuring options.
Mark works closely with various Savills consultants to provide his clients with a pre-transaction strategic plan using data analytics coupled with vast real estate knowledge to uncover human capital advantages for his clients. This approach allows Mark to create the most appropriate solutions for his clients allowing for flexibility, risk protection, real estate cost reduction, labor cost advantage, workplace optimization, maximization of incentives, among other factors. His hands-on, client-first mentality is a benefit for all involved.
Awards, Achievements and Activities
NAIOP awarded Mark the 2015 ‘Office Broker of the Year’ and 2013 ‘Deal of the Year’ award. In addition, for the past 15 years, Houston Business Journal has named Mark a ‘Heavy Hitter’ and twice named him as the number one tenant representation broker in Houston. CoStar has named Mark one of Houston’s ‘Power Brokers’.
Mark is an active member of multiple committees at St. Francis School and Episcopal High School, including the Dad’s Club and real estate committee. He volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts (MFAH). Mark has also been on the board of directors and served as treasurer and secretary for the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA).
With his passion for sports, Mark served on the Board of Directors of the Men’s Golf Association at Champions Golf Club, was a coach of youth sports at Post Oak Little League, Post Oak YMCA and Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association. He was also a member and contributor to the World Health & Golf Association, supporting the First Tee program and Texas Medical Center’s research and immunization registry.
