ATLANTA (October 14, 2020) – Savills today announced the arrival of Henry Poer as an executive managing director based in Atlanta. He will be responsible for executing customized real estate solutions for retail clients in the Southeast region and throughout the country.
“Henry brings wide-ranging professional experience that broadens the firm’s regional and global expertise and capabilities in the retail sector. His leadership in the Atlanta retail market will help Savills further develop our practice for years to come. We’re happy to have Henry join the Savills team,” said Chris White, vice chairman, director, southeast region lead.
Prior to Savills, Poer spent seven years at CBRE, where he was a first vice president and the master broker for the national rollout of Frontgate, Ballard Design and OVME stores. He also worked with national retailers such as Aaron Rents, WW (formerly Weight Watchers), Samsung, and Macy’s. Before joining CBRE in 2013, Poer was managing director and chief operating officer for five years at the David H. Poer Company, where he successfully negotiated lease and sales transactions totaling over 3 million square feet and sales volumes of over $500 million. Poer specialized in mid- to large-box deals, completing over 50 deals in excess of 15,000 square feet.
Before starting at the David H. Poer Company, Poer spent two years in New York City as a hedge fund manager for Sterling Resources. He has been a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR) since 2011 and was recognized as an ACBR Top 10 Producer in the Retail category for seven years, including Top Retail Broker honors in 2016.
Poer’s arrival continues the growth of retail services at Savills in North America. The firm has additional retail brokers across region including Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, and Toronto. The North American team is fully integrated with the Savills Prime Global Retail Services platform, a collective of leading retail experts and thought leaders from across the firm’s global retail business.
