WASHINGTON (May 4, 2021) – The Town of Chevy Chase, Maryland, has selected Savills to advise the Town’s Council on responding to the National 4-H Council’s decision to market for sale its property at 7100 Connecticut Avenue. Savills Vice Chairman Art Greenberg and Senior Managing Director Parker Lange will assist the Town.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to advise the Town of Chevy Chase as it defines its strategy for the National 4-H Conference Center site, including working with the National 4-H Council as well as potential bidders. This is a great opportunity for the Town to play an enhanced role in one of the last large redevelopment parcels within Chevy Chase,” said Greenberg.
The National 4-H Conference Center sits on 12.3 acres just 10 miles from downtown, Washington, DC. Originally built as the Chevy Chase Inn in 1893, the historic 128-year-old property has been home to the National 4-H Council since it purchased the site in 1950.
Todd Hoffman, Town manager added, “The Town of Chevy Chase is actively focused on ensuring that National 4-H Conference Center site is both sold and developed in line with the interests of the Town’s residents. We look forward to robust stakeholder engagement in the days ahead and to having Savills on board to help us achieve our goals and objectives.”
