MIAMI (August 22, 2022) – Savills today announced the opening of its Boca Raton office at 150 East Palmetto Road as the firm further expands its integrated commercial real estate services platform in the South Florida region. Additionally, industry veteran David Browne joined Savills as a senior managing director based in the firm’s new location to strengthen its network of experts in tenant representation, project management, industrial services and workplace strategy. In this capacity, Browne will help extend Savills services and solutions to corporate and industrial occupiers throughout Florida.
“Establishing Savills footprint in the heart of Palm Beach County, along with the addition of a seasoned veteran like David, is a huge benefit to our current presence in one of the most thriving office marketplaces in the country,” said Tom Capocefalo, executive managing director and Savills Miami and Boca Raton branch manager.
Browne served with Capocefalo, both as managing directors and founding partners of the Julien J. Studley South Florida office in 2000. Over his 30-year career, Browne has completed thousands of transactions, representing large office space occupiers and negotiating diverse and complex deal structures for regional and national clients.
“David’s deep knowledge of the market, historical connection with the firm during his Studley tenure, and partnership with Tom Capocefalo bring an unrivaled set of skills and market familiarity to the newly opened Boca Raton office,” said Janet Woods, Savills vice chair and director.
After leaving Studley in 2006, Browne founded Jackson Browne LLC, a boutique corporate user advisory services firm specializing in the acquisition, disposition and negotiation of office and industrial space.
“We are extremely proud to launch the Savills platform in Boca Raton,” said Capocefalo. “The global, leading tenant advisory services Savills delivers are necessary for such a dynamic market. The opportunity to lead the Savills expansion in South Florida and engage with clients in this new footprint is beyond exciting.”
As Savills research states, new leasing activity totaled over 6.7 million square feet in South Florida in 2021, 38 percent higher than 2020 and approaching pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
With more than 40 offices and over 900 employees in North America, Savills provides local and international clients with a comprehensive and cohesive suite of services and solutions encompassing tenant representation, workplace strategy, capital markets, workforce and incentives strategy, labor analytics, and project management and additional areas of commercial real estate.
