Savills Studley announced today the arrival of Jerry Frey as senior managing director and co-branch manager, and Burke Kennedy as managing director. Based in the Austin office, they will be part of the firm’s tenant representation team responsible for achieving greater market share and expanding the local office.
“Our goal is to grow the Austin office into the city’s premier tenant representation advisory firm,” said Mark O’Donnell, vice chairman, director, Southwest region lead. “Jerry and Burke’s extensive industry expertise will help cultivate business in Austin, while enriching the high-caliber work of our services throughout the Texas market.”
“With their stellar reputation in the Austin market, I welcome Jerry and Burke to Savills Studley and look forward to working with them as we build our brand locally as the global leader in tenant representation,” said Alan Peters, senior managing director, branch manager.
Frey joins Savills Studley from CBRE, where he held several key leadership positions during his 27-year tenure at the firm, including regional manager for the Financial Consulting Group in Dallas; managing director and market leader for the brokerage operation in Austin and Houston; and most recently, senior vice president for the Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services division in Austin. Previously, he served as senior vice president for MBank Dallas and regional coordinator for the commercial mortgage-backed securities program at Resolution Trust Corporation.
“The Savills Studley name is highly esteemed, and I hope to energize the office and grow the local presence here in Austin along with Alan Peters and my partner who will be joining me, Burke Kennedy,” said Frey. “The opportunity to provide seasoned leadership and incremental production is a great fit for me.”
Prior to joining Savills Studley, Kennedy worked with Frey at CBRE as a senior associate in the Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services division, specializing in office tenant representation for technology and professional services firms. Kennedy was previously a principal at Avison Young and vice president at Commercial Texas. He has completed more than 100 commercial real estate deals over his 10-year career, totaling over $100 million transaction volume.
“I enjoy being an advocate for my clients and representing them to the fullest of my capabilities, with all the tools and knowledge I have acquired and the platform that Savills Studley provides,” said Kennedy. “Jerry and I will really prosper in our roles given the culture at the firm.”
