Savills announced that Vice Chairman and Director Tom Fulcher was promoted to region lead of the firm’s mid-Atlantic offices. Fulcher joins the firm’s management board, and he will lead a highly qualified management team of commercial real estate executives overseeing the firm’s Washington, DC, Baltimore and Suburban DC region. The group provides leadership and a strategic vision for sustaining the organization’s prominence in the area.
Fulcher joined Savills in 1986 and has been a co-regional manager of the firm’s Washington, DC region since 1998. He serves on the Savills Board of Directors and is the firm’s Legal Tenant Practice Group chair. Fulcher succeeds commercial real estate veteran David Lipson as mid-Atlantic region lead after Lipson was promoted to president of Savills in April.
In addition, Vice Chairman Julie Rayfield and Senior Managing Director Nicole Miller have been promoted to co-regional manager for the firm’s mid-Atlantic region. Rayfield and Miller join the DC-area leadership team of Fulcher, Vice Chairmen Gary Stein and Bill Quinby and Executive Vice President Ben Plaisted. Miller joined Savills in 2004 and has deep expertise in the Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland markets, representing corporations, law firms, associations, nonprofit organizations and technology firms with their real estate needs. Furthermore, Nicole serves on the board of the company’s Building Inclusion and Diversity initiative, is a board member for FAR (the Finance and Administration Roundtable) and is a longtime member of the Executive Committee for Lombardi Women.
“It goes without saying that the success the firm has experienced in the DC area would not be possible without Tom’s selfless leadership and unwavering commitment to our clients over the past 30 years,” said Lipson.
“Tom’s appointment as region lead and the addition of Nicole as a co-regional manager will not only help expand Savills profile as a leader in the market but also brings together a diverse and talented branch management team to lead Savills employees forward.”
Savills also announced that Michael Lassiter, director of public relations, has also been appointed to the Savills Management Board. The group is composed of senior-level executives across the company and develops the overall strategic direction for the firm. Lassiter is the youngest and first person of color to be appointed to the role. He joined Savills in 2017 as public relations manager before being promoted to his current position in 2019. Lassiter has also helped guide the development of the firm’s diversity and inclusion program and employee resource groups.
