VTS Selects 320 North Sangamon for New Chicago Office

Savills represented the rapidly growing technology firm in a 36,000-square-foot lease at the new development located in the Fulton Market district

CHICAGO (March 4, 2022) – VTS, a leasing, marketing, asset management, and tenant experience platform for the commercial real estate industry, will occupy a 35,914-square-foot office across the entire ninth and half of the tenth floors of 320 North Sangamon in Chicago. VTS will relocate to the new space in the Fulton Market district this summer.

Savills Vice Chairmen Robert Sevim and Jim Wenk, Associate Cullen Hurley, and Assistant Director Allison Buck established a real estate strategy for VTS to enable the firm’s expansion and capture its vitality. The Savills team focused its search on the Fulton Market district as the dynamic submarket features the energy and momentum that mirrors VTS’s enterprising culture.

“VTS is shaking up the commercial real estate industry with its pioneering, data-driven platform,” said Sevim. “Its new Chicago location needed to mirror its innovative business and provide an inspiring setting where the firm can grow and attract the best talent. The space at 320 North Sangamon allows VTS to create a unique environment across multiple floors and offers one of the most robust tenant amenity packages in the Fulton Market district. The building provides everything the team will need to be collaborative and creative and continue its industry-leading progress.”

Tishman Speyer’s 320 North Sangamon is a 13-story Class A office property that offers a state-of-the-art suite of tenant amenities. An open-air penthouse with a communal terrace and fire pit crowns the property, and it also features fitness and conference centers, a dedicated tenant lounge, and indoor parking. The wellness-focused building is both LEED and WiredScore certified. Adam Mitchell and Ellen May of Tishman Speyer represented the building.

“We designed and developed 320 North Sangamon to appeal to the world’s most creative and talent-driven companies,” said Tishman Speyer Managing Director, Nooshin Felsenthal.  “It is a validation of those efforts to have an innovator like VTS, which resides at the intersection of real estate and technology, choose this location for its Chicago expansion.”

“For several years, Fulton Market has increasingly become the destination of choice for many technology firms, and this momentum has not slowed during the pandemic,” said Anders Klein, regional research director for Savills Midwest. "Among Downtown Chicago's largest transactions in the fourth quarter of 2021, more than a third occurred in Fulton Market by square footage. Occupiers continue to be attracted to this historic live-work neighborhood that offers a plethora of new office development options, such as 320 North Sangamon, and has firmly established itself as a hotbed of restaurants, hotels, and entertainment.”
