Savills Wins 2022 CREBA Top Leasing and Broker Awards

Members of the firm were recognized for leading transactions in the Washington, DC, market

WASHINGTON (May 3, 2022) – Savills received multiple top leasing awards at the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association (CREBA) Annual Awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The CREBA Annual Awards competition is open exclusively to CREBA members and recognizes outstanding transactions and leasing performance in the DC area.

David Lipson, Todd Valentine and Neil Levy of Savills received the Washington, DC, Leasing Transaction of the Year award representing the US General Services Administration (GSA) in arranging the Securities and Exchange Commission’s headquarters lease. The 1,229,345-square-foot lease at 60 New York Avenue, NE, represents the largest transaction of 2021 and the largest in DC since the Savills team procurement of the 1,350,000-square-foot Department of Transaction headquarters lease in 2001.

The Maryland Leasing Transaction of the Year award went to Steve London at Savills for securing Choice Hotels International’s 105,000-square-foot lease, which accelerated plans for the next phase at the Pike & Rose development in North Bethesda. The transaction will relocate Choice Hotels’ headquarters from Rockville to a new 16-story, 276,000-square-foot office building, which is currently under construction.

Savills broker Mett Miller was honored as the Number One GSA Leasing Agent. David Cornbrooks and Wendy Feldman Block were both named to the CREBA Top Ten Leasing Agents list for Washington, DC, and Maryland, respectively.
