Savills Renews Lease & Reimagines Chicago Office

The global real estate advisory firm extends and upgrades at 150 North Riverside Plaza

CHICAGO (March 25, 2025) – Savills has extended its lease on a long-term basis for its Chicago office. The global real estate advisory firm will remain in an over 16,500-square-foot half floor at 150 North Riverside Plaza. The transaction was overseen by Savills Chicago region President Robert Sevim and Vice Chairman Eric Feinberg.

Savills has resided at 150 North Riverside Plaza since the building’s inception in 2017. The local leadership team deployed a thoughtful, data-driven approach to reconfigure the space and create a more modern and efficient workplace. The transformation of space upgrades includes remapping the office’s technology footprint, activating underutilized areas, and enhancing in-office amenities to better serve team members. The result is a more collaborative and activated that reflects Savills ethos of innovative client-first solutions. Project management was overseen by Savills Laura Schueren and Rich Dale with additional support from Heather Wolfe.

“With the renewal of our lease, we took a deliberate approach to optimize and evolve our space—applying our own market-leading data and insights to deliver a re-imagined footprint that focuses on fostering collaboration, innovation, and engagement with real purpose,” said Sevim. “Our decision to remain in a professional trophy building downtown strengthens our workplace experience and offers our over 50 team members an environment that is both inspiring, flexible and strategically positioned for generational success.”

“Chicago is one of Savills core markets and its Midwest hub for real estate advisory and brokerage services,” added Feinberg. “This office transformation is more than a refresh. It’s a strategic investment in how we work, engage with our business partners, and innovate. The space is designed to expand our services and solutions, integrate top talent, and seamlessly meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of our diverse clientele across local and global markets.”

In addition to tenant representation, Savills Chicago offers additional services including sales, investment advisory, valuation, global occupier services, workplace strategy, project management, and research and development.

150 North Riverside is a 1.2 million rentable square foot Class A trophy office tower located in the West Loop submarket and designed by renowned architect Goettsch Partners. Ideally situated on the Chicago River, the property is less than one block away from one of the city’s busiest commuter train stations. The amenity-rich building features multiple restaurants, fitness and conferencing centers, and a large outdoor park that includes expansive seating areas, an amphitheater, and a riverwalk. The building was represented in lease negotiations by Christy Domin of Riverside Investment & Development.
